"I’m beyond frustrated with Black figures who claim to be 'for the culture' but align themselves with administrations and systems that actively work against us. ​Whether it’s celebrities like Nicki Minaj using her massive platform to defend or validate figures that harm our community, or Jay-Z making backroom deals with the NFL while Kaepernick is still blackballed, it all feels like the same thing: selling out the community for a check or personal protection. I’m tired of seeing our 'idols' prioritize their own wealth, access, and legal favors over the actual progress of Black people. If you’re defending these moves or siding with an administration that doesn't value us, you’ve shown exactly where your loyalty lies—and it isn’t with the people. I'm done supporting 'success' that requires us to be the stepping stones."
