NEWS: Tesla has completed Nevada’s self-certification process for its robotaxi. I just confirmed with the Nevada DMV that Tesla can now deploy and operate autonomous vehicles on public roads in the state. Tesla still needs approval from the Nevada Transportation Authority to operate a commercial robotaxi/ride-hailing service. The company will likely apply for that permit soon. Once Tesla receives that final approval, it will then be able to launch a paid robotaxi service for the public.
