Topic filter for X's "What's happening" sidebar

i wish X allowed me to prevent certain topics from popping up in my whats happening on the side, how many times do i have to say im not interested in sports till stuff stops showin up xD leave that for "todays news" which i cant modify, the not interested option does nothing
