I realised something after talking to people who’ve built and sold multiple businesses. It’s a simple idea, one I always knew, but never really absorbed until now: You can always build a business in an existing category. That path is straightforward but if you want to build something people come to you for; something that feels like an experience, not just a service, you need your own genuine interests and obsessions behind it.
