What if there was an app that helps guarantee safety when meeting people from ct? (Random shower thoughts) here’s how it could work: start with verified meetings: → users prove they’re real through something like proof of humanity such as @worldcoin or @humanityprot. → when two people meet, the interaction is verified through qr scans, geolocation proximity checks, or other simple methods. → reviews can only be written after the meeting is verified. anonymous reviews, shown only when relevant: → after meeting, users can leave private, encrypted reviews. → these reviews aren’t public. they only become visible once someone else requests to meet that person. → to reduce bias and prevent the reviewee from guessing who left negative feedback, reviews can be broken down into sections (e.g., punctuality, communication, safety). → an ai model can aggregate these sectional inputs to generate an overall trust score or summary, ensuring clear, unbiased feedback while preserving reviewer anonymity. → this allows people to read feedback before deciding whether to go ahead with the meeting, without exposing anyone unnecessarily. set a benchmark to prevent fake reviews: → reviews only count after someone has met a minimum number of unique people. → this makes it harder to game the system with reviews from friends or fake accounts. → the platform could also launch with a small, whitelisted group similar to how facebook began with university clubs. benefits? private flagging for unsafe behavior: → if someone behaves in a way that’s sketchy or unsafe, it can be flagged privately. → these reports stay confidential and only surface if another person is considering a meeting with that individual. → these reports are immutable and can’t be modified. → new accounts can’t be created easily because of proof of humanity verification. → it’s kinda like the [] badge system where you need people to vouch for you. problem? → the current setup doesn’t stop the reviewee from seeing the anonymous reviews about themselves. (i don’t really find problems in this yet) conclusion overall safety in crypto is such a pain in the ass for founders. i’ve seen founders starting to be worried about their safety when attending conferences or meeting new people. A friend of mine was threatened at knifepoint, forced to transfer the money he had raised in broad daylight. if there is a system we could have, it would be much better.
