Most of you are building SaaS products nobody asked for. You can validate your SaaS idea for free. No ads. No landing pages. No “stealth mode.” If you’re launching without product-market fit, you’re not being ambitious, you’re being lazy. Here’s what to actually do: 1. DM 50 people in your target market. Not your friends. Not randoms. People who live with the pain you’re trying to solve. 2. Start conversations. Don’t pitch. Don’t sell. Just talk like a human. Ask: What’s the most annoying part of doing X? How are you solving it today? What’s something you wish existed? 3. Look for patterns. If you keep hearing the same pain point 10–15 times, that’s your validation. 4. Pitch your solution casually. Not “I built this.” Say, “I’m thinking about building something that fixes X. Would you use that?” If even 3–5 people say yes, that’s all the validation you need to start building an MVP. The truth is: most devs would rather code than communicate. But real founders talk to customers before they write a single line of code. Validation isn’t about surveys or frameworks. It’s about conversations. You don’t need funding. You don’t need ads. You just need 50 DMs and the balls to ask real questions. That’s how you build SaaS that actually makes money.
