Civil, evidence-focused discussion platform to reduce engagement bait

MSM and social media are designed to provoke emotional responses from us, and I am tired of it. It's just noise, and I'd like to move on to conversations that discuss actual ideas based on whether they are sound and hear the counters, actual civil discourse. I'm sick of the engagement farming and the rage baiters out there. I may be an idealist, but I want to speak about policy, sound economics, not deal with the fallout of whether I am in some red or blue camp and look at what's in front of me and I want others to join me. X has become so cheap that it's incentivized people to say something dramatic, be theatrical, and taunt others. That is not going to get us to consensus and it's not going to bridge the gap or at least help us come to an understanding. I'm tired of the JoJofromJerz style hysterics, the Krassenstein threads of empty context, the Harry Sisson baiting energy, the Kyle Kulinski sophomoric memes. I want to talk about policy like adults. Like the good old days of Thomas Sowell on CBS against the Department of Ed reps. What actually moves the needle on cost of living? What trade-offs are we willing to accept? Which ideas have evidence behind them and which ones are just rhetoric? We need to disagree with an argument without insulting the person making it. Bad ideas can be beaten by counterargument. We need to be open to changing our minds when facts shift, as new info comes in, we don't need to be attached to our ideas. If you just want to hash out what's best for regular people instead of scoring points for a tribe… Let's talk. Reply here, DM me, quote-tweet, I'm open. I'll engage with anyone who brings ideas in good faith, not feelings and name-calling just cause I happen to agree with MAGA on a topic. If you are sick of the noise and just want open honest discussion, let's talk. In the meantime, I'm going to refrain from feeding the engagement farmers. I’ve been guilty of it in the past, no more.
