@Shanna__Bylka In 2024 it was reported that they were struggling to keep track of how many people had left because the admin staff that normally update the figures had also left, There were also reports of problems getting doctors appointments, even lawyer’s appointments. The 12 day war, when the government went to great lengths to stop people leaving (though some still left by boat) just meant more people decided to look into leaving afterwards. They didn’t want to be human shields for the legit military targets Israel had embedded in civilian areas, though Iran did a good job of avoiding causing mass civilian casualties. That’s the opposite of how Israel conducts attacks where it does deliberately target civilians and civilian infrastructure.
