Side note for all those who don’t understand the context of this post (most of the people that follow Boone’s acct know this but I am adding it for clarity- I’m here to educate and create reform for the veteran community. My combat veteran husband died due to VA neglect Sept 18th to cascading affects of combat related injuries. This is murder. Many are murdered in the VA system. He was the Warfighter Rights Leader of this country. On his medical retirement we paid over $125k in legal bills fighting the people who tried to shut him down (his advocacy). They kick your financial legs out from under you to financially disable you, that’s how corruption works. So no, our savings paid dirty lawyers who make money targeting veterans by circumventing Federal laws. Yes I am going back to work. You do not get their social security if you are under 60. I am under 60. You do get it for the children. Ours are grown. He did not qualify for life insurance, the VA destroyed his heart like many thousands of others by neglecting the need to address central sleep apnea. This happens due to TBI and the brain is damaged and doesn’t tell you to breathe when you are sleeping. Hypoxia destroys the heart. I started reaching out to the Trump admin asking for help. I was ignored. It has continually escalated as I am being ignored. These policies were for the most part in place during Trump’s first Presidency. They have been for decades. He was being attacked and kept in court constantly and dealing with constant impeachment attempts. He gets grace for that. He ran on a strong veteran platform and we all supported him. Boone MC’d the Vetty’s Inaugural ball celebrating Trump’s win in 2027. I was there. We gave our full support as many of the Warfighter Community did. Boone did until his sudden tragic death and I still do. Trump is full aware of the neglect and abuse and immediate help this community needs. The veteran community is bleeding out. We are desperate for help. SOMEBODY HAS TO STOP THE BLEED. An Executive Order could bring immediate relief to the issues until a long term fix is put in place. Yes I hold him accountable. He appointed a team to address these issues. He is the CIC. He is the ultimate responsible party. His team is failing us. That’s how it works. This is on his watch now. I have been ignored except for one phone call about the suicide work Boone did. That’s how accountability works. The guy in charge is who I voted for, it’s who can fix this and make it a priority. I am continuing Boone’s work. I have been his caregiver for 15 years. I gave up my career (I wouldn’t change that) to be his caregiver. I now have no income because of that. I haven’t paid into social security for years because if that. I have no retirement now because of that. They can’t help me now, they’ve destroyed my life. I am fighting for the community in my husband’s honor now.
